‘Aai': Arya Ambekar Delighted To Work With Her Guru Avdhoot Gupte On 'Aai Kuthey Kay Karte' Title Track
After 10 years Arya Ambekar and Avdhoot finally work together on the title track of 'Aai Kuthey Kay Karte'
In 2009, we saw a young girl entertaining the audience with her matured knowledge of music. This little girl, Arya Ambekar, would sweep the audience off their feet with her voice and her stage presence in the ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ season.
One of the judges who identified her talent early on was Avadhoot Gupte. Ever since the finale of this reality show, the top 5 kids were seen in a number of musical melodies in Marathi and Hindi music but Arya was the only one who is now a film star as well as a musical talent.
After 10 years of working in the industry, Arya got an opportunity to work with her Guru from the Lil Champs days, Avadhoot Gupte. An ecstatic Arya shared the good news with us on her Instagram handle, telling us more about the song. Here are some pictures from the recording studio.
Arya writes, “आज मैं ऊपर, आसमाॅं नीचे moment!!! After 10 years of association, I finally got to sing for the mentor!!! Do listen to my version of the #titlesong of "आई कुठे काय करते".. an extremely soulful composition by @avadhoot_gupte dada, and beautifully written by @guruthakurphotography dada!!! Yay!”.
This song is a title track for a TV Show 'Aai Kuthey Kay Karte'. This serial is about a mother’s thankless job and the undepletable reservoir of love and forgiveness of a mother. Arya found it special to sing a song for such a show since her ‘mother’ is the closest mentor, friend, and guide for her. Aarya’s mother, Shruti Ambekar, who is a disciple of noted singer Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande was also her guru when she was a small child.
Aarya has given playback for various Marathi songs from movies like ‘Ti Sadhya Kai Karte’, in which she was the lead actress as well, ‘Balgandharva’, ‘Rama Madhav’, and many more.
Avadhoot too shared the final song on his Instagram. He was sentimental about the song and talented his student is. He writes a long message expressing how honored he is to see his students doing so well and how he regrets he couldn’t work with her before. Catch the full song here:
